OLD STRENGTH, NEW PATHS

GBTX, based in Barcelos in northern Portugal, has been manufacturing clothing for international brands, including Marc O’Polo, for many years. According to its own information, the company produces up to 2 million garments a year (as of 2025).
The production lines are designed for different product types and manufacturing requirements. GBTX works according to defined production and quality requirements and records the site’s environmental performance annually using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM). Energy, water, waste, wastewater, air emissions and chemical management are considered, among other areas.
