KNITWEAR EXPERTISE FROM ISTANBUL

Since 1986, ESVAP has been producing knitwear for the European market in Istanbul’s Bağcılar district. What began as a small business now employs around 400 people, according to its own information (as of 2025). According to its own information, ESVAP brings together key knitwear production steps at one site – from knitting and washing to quality control, ironing and packaging. Bringing these steps together facilitates coordination within production and supports the implementation of the agreed quality requirements.
According to its own information, ESVAP records and evaluates the site’s environmental performance annually using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM). The standardised assessment tool considers energy and water use, waste, wastewater, air emissions and chemical management, among other areas. The results can help identify areas for action and plan further measures.
According to its own information, the collaboration is based on requirements relating to working conditions and occupational health and safety. Bringing the production steps together also facilitates coordination within production.
