Sustainability is deeply rooted in the Marc O'Polo DNA. We have been publishing regular sustainability reports since 2008.
Our strategy with ten pathways defines clear goals, including offering only sustainable products by 2023.

Marc O'Polo uses natural fibers from controlled organic farming in its collections.
Many of our products with organically sourced fibers are certified according to the well-known textile standards Organic Content Standard (OCS) or Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS). We also offer Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified products.
All certified products are marked with the respective seal on the care label and on the product page in the Marc O'Polo online store.

Marc O’Polo has its products produced both in the EU and in third countries, with the majority of our suppliers based in China, India and Turkey.

An essential part of the Marc O’Polo sustainability strategy is the manufacture of our products under humane working conditions.
Marc O’Polo has been a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) since 2020. In the scope of an annual audit performed by the foundation – known as the Brand Performance Check – the purchasing practices of Marc O’Polo as well as other aspects of the company are evaluated and published.
Marc O’Polo has also been a member of amfori – trade with purpose since 2009. As a part of this, binding social standards were defined. To monitor compliance with the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct and to develop possible improvements with suppliers in the scope of FWF membership, audits are conducted in the factories producing the products (primarily in high-risk countries). Furthermore, the FWF offers training programmes in the factories and a complaints mechanism for the workers.

Most of the cotton used by Marc O'Polo comes from controlled organic cultivation.

The down and feathers used by Marc O'Polo are either certified according to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) or come from certified, recycled sources as an alternative to newly obtained down and feathers.

Cupro is mainly used by Marc O' Polo in the womens selection, depending on the collection. The production of the fiber is now very transparent, especially as there is only one manufacturer in Japan.
The starting point for Cupro is recycled cotton linters, which are a by-product of cotton oil production. The chemicals used to produce the fiber are extracted and completely reused in closed-loop systems.

Marc O'Polo relies on over 50 years of experience with natural materials and thus shapes our brand culture.
To date, we do not offer any products labeled as vegan, but we do offer accessories such as bags and belts made from vegetable-tanned leather.
We are open to material innovations and test them for quality, sustainability and compatibility with our philosophy.

Marc O'Polo is increasingly using certified paper and cardboard as well as recyclable films as packaging materials. In addition, we are currently examining various solutions.

Marc O'Polo is pursuing the goal of largely avoiding air freight. Even today, the proportion of sea freight far outweighs the proportion of air freight, which is currently only chosen in exceptional cases. By avoiding air freight, emissions can be further reduced.

You can return unworn items to us free of charge within 30 days of receipt of the goods. Goods purchased in the Marc O'Polo online shop can only be returned in the Marc O'Polo online shop. As sustainability is a fundamental principle for Marc O'Polo, we will soon be parting with paper return receipts. The following link will take you to our returns portal, where you can process your return online using your order number and e-mail.
You can also register your return in your customer account. To do this, log in to your customer account and click on your orders. You can then start the returns process by clicking on register return. You enter your e-mail address and the order number and select the individual items with the corresponding quantity that you would like to return. We will then send you a return label to print out, which you stick on your package.
You can then take the package to a drop-off point or a post office. Do not forget to ask for the proof of posting of the return.
It is best to return items that you have purchased in a Marc O'Polo shop there.

Our size advisor has precise item data such as information on the elasticity or width of a product. On the basis of more than 10,000 data, calculations are continuously collected, which lead to the correct size determination.

Do you need a copy of an invoice? Certainly! Our Customer Service can send you a copy any time. Please contact us via the contact details below. Please keep your order and customer numbers ready.
For optimal protection of your personal data, we have secured the entire checkout section according to the latest technological standards ("SSL Technology"). Should any credit card abuse by an unauthorized person occur in spite of this, you can lodge an objection with your credit card institution. In the case of abuse, you will be reimbursed. As a rule, the credit card institutions take over all of the costs.
We accept credit cards from Visa, Master Card, American Express. (American Express is not accepted in the UK Shop) Your credit card data is transferred via a secure SSL connection and is protected by the 3D Secure process.

We support Verified by VISA, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey. 3D Secure authentication is carried out when you complete your order. This authentication step makes credit card transactions particularly secure. Please note that this may involve an additional secure authentication step in the order process. In this case, an additional window opens from your bank. It will ask you to enter your personal authentication code. Your bank verifies this code and approves the transaction. You can activate 3D Secure with your bank. Please contact your bank for more information. So you don’t have to repeat this process for every purchase, you can have your bank whitelist us as a trusted retailer. This means you can keep shopping as usual without the additional security step.
When ordering, enter your desired shipping address under "shipping address". For a different billing address, use the "different billing address" step. Choose between saved addresses or add a new one.
If you are unable to complete your order because the address given is unknown, our customer service is available to help you.
You will receive an e-mail with the good news that your parcel is on its way, including the tracking number. This number allows you to check the delivery status at any time on the website of the shipping service provider.
You can also check the status of your order in your customer account. Log in to the online store, go to "Orders" and click on "Track shipment". There you will find all relevant information as soon as the parcel has been handed over to the shipping service provider.
It is very important to us that you receive your order on time and undamaged. For international deliveries, we have had the best experiences with DHL Worldwide Package. Typically, we dispatch your order within 2-5 business days (as long as your order is received by 12:00, from Monday to Friday).

The costs are independent of the total value of the order and the method of payment. Returning the entire package ensures a full reimbursement of the delivery charges. Regrettably, partial returns do not qualify for the same reimbursement.
Please report incorrectly delivered, defective or soiled items in the returns portal with a complaint as the reason for return. Please note that there is no automatic exchange. You must order the item again.
In the case of damaged/incomplete deliveries: Please take photos as proof and check the delivery for completeness. If items are missing from your order, please contact our customer service.
For unordered deliveries: Please do not accept the parcel. If already accepted, please return it with a note in the package.
Normally, your order should be delivered to the address you have given within 2-5 work days. If you are still waiting for your package five work days after confirmation of your order, please first check the following:
The delivery status, using the tracking number that was sent to you via email.
Whether the address you gave was correct.
Whether a neighbor has accepted the package on your behalf.
Whether the package is waiting for you at your nearest post office.
If you have done all of the above, and still don't know where your parcel is, please contact our customer service.
Unfortunately, as soon as you have clicked the "Order Now" button during the ordering process, we can no longer change the delivery address.
Marc O'Polo does not currently offer a returns or complaints collection service.
