We are increasingly using preferred fibres that have less impact on people, animals, nature, and the climate compared to their conventional counterparts. These range from organic and/or recycled fibres to fibres with an improved procurement process. Additionally, we strive to employ enhanced production processes or complete manufacturing within Europe, as well as material innovations and designs developed for the circular economy, wherever possible.

INNOVATIVE MATERIALS

Researching new fibers and materials is central to our innovation efforts. We strive to find innovative approaches that save resources while meeting our high standards for a durable premium product. When selecting new fibers and materials, we focus primarily on approaches related to material strategy, chemical and environmental management, CO₂ emission reductions, and end-of-life scenarios.

CLEANDYE

We use polyester-based materials dyed using a waterless process. In this process, carbon dioxide is used as a solvent instead of water. This allows for independence from water resources, reduces the use of hazardous chemicals, and avoids the generation of wastewater that can strain local water supplies.

E.DYE® WATERLESS COLOR SYSTEM™

In the field of technical outdoor clothing, we use materials dyed with the e.dye® Waterless Color System™. Their high color fastness is achieved through an innovative spin-dyeing process where the color is embedded directly into the fiber. Compared to conventional dyeing methods, this can result in significant water, chemical, and CO₂ savings.
