DIVERSITY MEETS RESPONSIBILITY

Kaniska Garments is based in Tirupur, one of South India’s most important textile hubs. Founded in 1988 by V. Senthil Kumar with a clear vision – fashion for the global market – the company now produces around 1.5 million pieces per year, including for Marc O’Polo.

In 2024, together with this supplier, we trained four women as part of a supervisor training program to prepare them for leadership roles. With these supervisor trainings, developed in collaboration with the NGO Save, our aim is to strengthen women’s participation in the textile supply chain, promote gender equality, and create long-term opportunities.

Kaniska has implemented measures for more sustainable chemical and wastewater management in line with the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero program (see Detox.Live) and measures its impact on the environment and resources annually using the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM).
